Shift90 — Press Kit

Last updated: August 2026 · For journalists, reviewers, and curators

Shift90 is an iOS app for riding out one ninety-second wave of feeling. You trace the noise on the screen, breathe it down with a guided physiological sigh, give it a name, and throw it — the named feeling flies over a satellite image of the real world and lands somewhere far away, leaving a small pin that fades a little more each day. There is no account, no ad tracking, and no server run by the developer that ever sees what you named or where it landed.

Feature highlights

A session moves through five steps, each built around one specific idea:

Beyond the core Shift session, two more entry points are available: Rotate and Rotate 3D, which occupy the same mental workspace that ruminating thoughts use by having the user mentally turn a shape — an alternative for moments when tracing and naming isn’t what’s needed.
