After ninety seconds
Put some distance between you and the feeling
Shift
The wave has passed
By the time you have finished the long exhale, the turbulence in your body has already settled first. You never have to fight the feeling itself. A wave you stop feeding with thought does not grow any further; it recedes.

The loop has stopped
The same worry laps around because the mental workspace it runs on is free. Shift90 puts one shape into that space and asks you to turn it. While the room is occupied, the spiral has nowhere to come back to.
Throw
Today’s share has been left behind
Swing your arm and the feeling you named flies far across the earth. Where it lands stays as a small pin on a map only you can see. The pin weathers and fades as the days pass, so what remains is not a sentence about letting go but the body’s memory of it.
Why it works
Why it is built this way
Why ninety seconds
When an emotion fires, the physiological surge itself — the chemistry moving through the body — is observed to subside in roughly ninety seconds, provided thinking doesn’t keep refueling it. A Shift90 session is ninety seconds long because that is the length of one wave, ridden out in full.
The long exhale
The physiological sigh — two quick inhales followed by one long, slow exhale — is the breath people fall into naturally after sobbing. Improvements in mood have been reported with as little as five minutes of daily practice, and Shift90 opens every session with it.
Turning shapes in the mind
While you rotate a shape in your head, the same mental workspace that rumination runs on is occupied. Rather than trying to force a worry away, you fill the room it would use before it arrives.
Naming it, throwing it
Naming a feeling moves you to the observer’s side of it. Throwing what you named far away, and watching it go, leaves "I let it go" in the body’s memory. And as the landed feeling weathers on a real map, day after day, you hold a small physical proof that time fades what once felt overwhelming.

What stays yours
What is yours stays yours
Shift90 handles the most private information there is — how you are feeling. So it is designed around a single principle: do not collect what is not needed.
- Raw strokes and videos never leave your device. Session history syncs to your own private iCloud and nowhere else — never to a server run by the developer.
- There is no account. Your name and email address are never collected.
- There are no ads, no advertising identifier (IDFA), and no cross-app tracking.
- Photos you throw are never stored — only how many.
- Location is deliberately coarsened to roughly one kilometre, and shareable videos never include low-altitude footage.
